Introduction
This report presents a summary of work and findings of archeological compliance investigations conducted from June 1987 through December 1988 for Amoco Production Company in their Lost Soldier, Wertz, and Bailey Dome oil fields near Bairoil, Wyoming. The report focuses on a summary of the 1988 field season stipulations, but also considers and addresses the work and results of the 1987 season which were presented in an earlier report. This report is not intended to be a descriptive report on individual features and artifacts found during this work, since separate data reports have been issued on an individual project or cultural locality basis. Instead, this summary document provides a general view of the 1987-1988 contributions to the Bairoil Project. Individual reports on specific studies (e.g., ethnobotany, geomorphology, and mapping) have been issued separately and are summarized here.
